Micro
We are looking to define a visual story for Samsara. The aim is to create an identity that will become the adored face of the brand, conveying both a sense of who the brand is and what it stands for. Our primary focus was to develop an identity that positions the brand competitively, but holds true to its core identity and celebrates its niche.
Macro
On a more ambitious scale, Samsara would like to become more than just a hotel - we want to begin a journey to become catalysts for adventure, a new way of thinking, and a more international, connected, and less cluttered way of life. We want to use travel to unlock this change, hopefully inspiring a life-long love of movement, expanded thinking, and a sense of possibility.
We want to celebrate the lesser-known parts of Rishikesh, redefining the concept of intentional, conscious travel and encouraging people to choose travel that serves not only them, but the places and people, they see along the way.
Samsara is a sanskrit word that means "wandering" or "world" with the connotation of cyclic, circuitous change. It is also the concept of rebirth and "cyclicality of all life, matter, exitence, a fundamnetal belief of most Indian religion. In short, it is the cycle of death and rebirth.
